Encouraging news: for the first time in 36 months the number of homes sold for the month is higher than the same month one year ago.

There is some good news. Pending numbers are up. In April ther were 83 pending sales, May 217 pending sales and just 11 days into the month of June we have 119.

North Carolina Association of REALTORS Existing Home Sales Report

The North Carolina Association of REALTORS released their existing home sales report today.

The most unexpected part of the report had Asheville’s average sale price rise 8% to $309,770.

More in line with what we have come to expect lately was the number of existing homes sold fell 49% to 90.

And the total dollar volume dropped 45% to $27,879,361.
